About The Role
As a Mobile Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles, including emergency roadside service when needed. Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs to light and medium duty vehicles in a mobile field environment.
- Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems - everything that keeps a fleet running strong.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast.
- Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.
- Road test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top-quality standards.
- Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
- Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
- Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure safety compliance.
- Jump in wherever needed – we're a team that supports each other.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on auto or diesel tech experience working on light to medium duty vehicles.
- Strong communication skills – you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
- Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards.
- Independent, dependable, and self-motivated – you take pride in getting the job done right.
- A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
- Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
- Bring your own hand tools and we’ll supply everything else.
Work Environment
- Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas – safety and precision are key.
- Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment.
- Safely handle chemicals, oils, and grease as part of repair work.
- Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.
- Stay active – you'll bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions – rain or shine, our team gets it done.
Pay
Competitive pay starting at $32-38/hr. based on experience.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-3:00PM
