Essential Responsibilities

  • Test vehicle parts and systems for correct operation.
  • Identify mechanical problems, often by using diagnostic equipment.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all checks are conducted on each vehicle.
  • Perform basic to advanced maintenance including but not limited to oil changes, tune ups, transmissions, as well as electronic and air conditioning systems.
  • Replace, repair and/or retro-fit worn parts.
  • Assist Service Manager and Service Advisors in dealing with customers.
  • Explain automotive problems to customers when necessary.
  • Maintain all training mandated by the dealership.
  • Maintain own tools necessary to complete repairs.
  • Abide by government regulations.
  • Comply with Bowser safety policies and procedures.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid state inspection and emission license
  • Valid CDL drivers' license in good standing
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrate good judgment

Physical Requirements

  • Standing/walking/bending/stooping approximately 8 hours/day.
  • Ability to lift no more than 70 lbs. at a time.
