Diesel Mechanic

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at our Norwalk, OH Service Center. The primary responsibilities include day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can involve preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs, trailer PMs, and handling AC and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding as needed.
• Handle major repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel engines.
• Use Cetaris for work orders.
• Drive Class 8 commercial trucks.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Own tools.
• Preferred 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines.
• Class A CDL license.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.

Pay

Earn up to $36.32 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday, various shifts.
