Diesel Mechanic- Field Service

About the role

The Diesel Field Service Technician will service Xylem's diesel pumps and related components at various customer sites and Xylem Service Centers in the Aurora, NC area. Duties include maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with occasional phone support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot diesel pumps and their electrical/mechanical components
• Provide phone support when necessary
• Receive equipment-specific training

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Class B CDL preferred
• Pass background check, drug screen, MVR check, and DOT physical
• Experience with diesel systems or equivalent
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Ability to diagnose and test basic mechanical and electrical issues
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

Pay

Actual starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions. A wide salary range is provided.

Schedule

General day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.
