Diesel Mechanic
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Hatfield, PA Service Center.
About the role
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on location.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Handle major repairs on Class 8 trucks and trailers
- Maintain AC and electrical systems
- Conduct Trailer PMs and repairs
- Use Cetaris for work orders
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Ability to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and electrical systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must have own tools
- 2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
Pay
$34.11 - $42.93/hr
Schedule
Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 2nd/3rd Shift
