Diesel Mechanic
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic at our Phoenix, AZ Service Center. The primary responsibilities include day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet, which consists of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This role also involves maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding tasks, depending on the location.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and forklifts
- Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding tasks
- Experience with AC and electrical systems
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Use Cetaris for work orders
- Class A CDL license required
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience
- Preferred experience with Cummins and Detroit engines
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Own tools required
- Class A CDL license
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
Qualifications
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Must be able to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and Electrical systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Own tools required
- Class A CDL license
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
