Reports to: Maintenance Manager
About the role
As a Diesel Truck/Trailer Maintenance Mechanic at Ecowaste Solutions, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. Safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
- Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of fleet equipment components.
- Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices; suggest corrective actions.
- Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for repairs; take steps to resolve issues if possible.
- Correctly complete complex work orders with proper description of condition, cause, and correction, including warranty return tags as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid state-issued CDL driver's license preferred.
- Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with a specialty in Diesel.
- Experience in advanced diagnostics.
Pay
Competitive base salary with opportunity to earn incentive pay. Weekly pay schedule.
