Primary location: Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for necessary repair.
- Inspect vehicles for defective equipment.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.
- Overhaul gas and/or diesel engines.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and make adjustments.
- Lubricate moving parts and drive or operate repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Install special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.
- Perform minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation, and other mechanical-related components.
- Wear company-provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and present a professional image.
- Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
Requirements
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school, four years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
- Must meet company driver qualifications and be willing to obtain State Safety Inspection certification.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
- Must provide own tools.
