Primary location: Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for necessary repair.
• Inspect vehicles for defective equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.
• Overhaul gas and/or diesel engines.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and drive or operate repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
• Install special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation, and other mechanical-related components.
• Wear company-provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and present a professional image.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

Requirements

• Two-year certificate from college or technical school, four years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience preferred.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
• Must meet company driver qualifications and be willing to obtain State Safety Inspection certification.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
• Must provide own tools.
