Johns Disposal Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled professional to join our Automotive/Mechanics team in Whitewater, WI.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Inspect vehicles for safety and performance compliance
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and repair techniques
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal training or certification in automotive/diesel technology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanic experience
- Familiarity with waste management or commercial fleet vehicles is a plus
Pay
Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certifications.
Schedule
Full-time position with day shift hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required.
