About the role

Fleet Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles through preventive inspections and repairs. Work Environment: Outdoor settings, occasional confined spaces, moderate noise, and exposure to extreme conditions; non-traditional hours and potential travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct annual inspections compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions across various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Document work performed and follow safety and procedural guidelines.
• Utilize diagnostic software and perform electrical testing, welding, and repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks.
• 2+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certifications: Inspector, Brake, HVAC, ASE preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in diagnostic tools, electrical systems, welding, and safety regulations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, work in varied environments, and operate equipment.
