About the Role
Responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel semi-trucks and trailers. Ensures adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with departments, documents work accurately, and maintains equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Responsibilities
- Assess and execute scheduled maintenance on vehicles and trailers
- Perform DOT inspections and repair air brake systems, suspensions, electrical components, and more
- Service refrigeration units, troubleshoot electrical issues, and maintain service records
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively about work priorities
- Maintain and utilize essential mechanic tools and complete required certifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of related maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to provide necessary tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes and noise
- Physical capability to perform duties including sitting, walking, crouching, and operating foot controls
Schedule
Must be flexible to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Additional Information
Training will be provided for safety and material handling certifications.
