Die Setup Specialist (Die Setter) | 2nd shift

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency with the use of automatic equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Set, change, troubleshoot, and clean stamping dies.
• Proactively apply knowledge to improve equipment and processes.
• Setup machinery for manufacturing.
• Setup stamping dies in presses.
• Perform tooling changes according to schedules.
• Conduct simple troubleshooting and tool and die repair to maintain production schedules.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Monitor press, tooling, and secondary systems for proper operation during manufacturing.
• Ensure attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift, including the ability to work overtime as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
• Perform basic mathematical operations: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Comprehend job training and safety instructions.
• Read a tape measure.

Skills

• Some PC skills helpful but not required.
• Previous forklift experience preferred but not required.
