The Opportunity
As a Die Maker, you will play a critical role in supporting die cutting operations by assembling steel rule dies and ensuring all tooling meets production requirements. In this role, you will work closely with production, structural design, and warehouse teams to build, maintain, and troubleshoot dies used in the manufacturing process. A typical day includes assembling dies, reviewing job schedules, coordinating tooling needs, and ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience assembling dies in the printing or packaging industry.
- Proficiency operating and maintaining shop equipment such as jig saws.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills, including email and word processing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and dependability.
- Willingness to work overtime as required during peak periods.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
