About the role
The Die Cast Process Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing die casting processes to meet production goals and quality standards. This role involves working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure consistent part quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new die casting processes and procedures
- Monitor and improve existing die casting processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to die casting operations
- Conduct process evaluations and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in die casting engineering
- Strong knowledge of die casting processes, materials, and equipment
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
