About the role
As the Maintenance & Safety Team Lead, you'll be responsible for the overall upkeep and safety of our campground. You'll supervise and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring all facilities, utilities, and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. You'll address maintenance needs, conduct regular inspections, and tackle unexpected challenges with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Team: Supervise and mentor our Maintenance & Safety Team Members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Keep it Running: Perform repairs and maintenance on campground buildings, facilities, and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Stay Ahead of the Game: Implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the long-term functionality and safety of our facilities.
- Safety First: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations.
- Guest-Focused: Greet guests with a friendly attitude and assist with any facility-related needs.
- Be a Problem Solver: Proactively identify and address potential hazards and maintenance issues.
Requirements
- Passion for Safety and Efficiency: A genuine desire to maintain a well-functioning and secure environment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.
- Maintenance Know-How: Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Safety-Minded: Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in a similar role or in a leadership position.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
