Dialysis Technician
About the role
This position may require floating at times to other clinics to maintain full-time hours.
Responsibilities
- Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
- Care for up to 4-5 patients at a time.
- In the morning, the opening PCT is coming in to get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients.
- Test the water for chlorine, check to ensure the tools are calibrated.
- Maintain and monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
- Exposure to blood and needles.
Requirements
- Very dependable with an excellent work ethic, always open to learning, meticulous with charting, personable with patients, have a 'can-do' attitude, take on challenges without hesitance, are comfortable with a very early start time and long hours on your feet, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
- Flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
- Able to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
- Able to use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.
Qualifications
- Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Schedule
Shifts can begin as early as 3:00 am and can vary based on patient needs. Your expected shift will be shared during the interview process.
What We’ll Provide

Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership.
