Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support staff development
- Promote patient rights and develop unit policies
- Manage reports, budgets, and contracts
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Serve as a role model for nursing practice
- Engage in community education
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure in Nebraska
- Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience (Medical-Surgical preferred)
- Basic Life Support certification
- Leadership ability and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge of confidentiality laws including HIPAA
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to stand or walk most of the day
- Lift up to 35 lbs regularly
- Work near equipment with moving parts
- Handle exposure to blood, body fluids, chemicals, and infectious materials in an outpatient healthcare setting
