Responsibilities
- Perform hemodialysis treatment procedures safely and efficiently.
- Provide specialized registered nursing care in accordance with state law.
- Assume primary nurse responsibilities as directed.
- Communicate significant information to the appropriate team members.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate care plans for patients.
- Administer medications correctly and teach patients about safe dosages.
- Obtain laboratory specimens and perform routine tests.
- Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure they are carried out.
- Assume the day-to-day functions of the Charge Nurse in the absence of the Unit Leader.
- Participate in the unit's Quality Assurance Program and contribute to performance improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment and adhere to infection control practices.
- Report errors, near misses, and concerns to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure the confidentiality of patient, employee, and company information.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent.
- Current RN License for Michigan and current CPR certification.
- One year of Hemodialysis RN experience (two to three years preferred).
- Strong technical/computer proficiency with various software.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Understanding of basic renal function and its consequences.
- Knowledge of common lab results and their implications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Pay
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $45.00 to $50.00 per hour, based on documented experience, qualifications, and market data.
Schedule
This Dialysis Unit operates Monday - Saturday, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm within Woodland Correctional Facility in Whitmore Lake, Michigan.
