Dialysis Program Manager

About the role

Direct, organize, and advance the hemodialysis program at Encompass Health, the nation’s largest inpatient rehabilitation company. Implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and effectiveness, supervise dedicated dialysis staff, and serve as the program’s primary clinical and operational leader.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the inpatient hemodialysis program.
• Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate dialysis staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate dialysis care into the broader rehabilitation program.
• Ensure the program meets quality, safety, and patient-satisfaction benchmarks.
• Manage program resources, including equipment, supplies, and budget.
• Serve as the primary liaison for patients, families, and external stakeholders regarding dialysis services.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in nephrology or dialysis nursing.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a dialysis or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of dialysis regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., CMS, AAMI, ESRD Networks).
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and dialysis-specific software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
