Dialysis Program Manager

About the role

Direct, organize, and advance the hemodialysis program at Encompass Health, the nation’s largest inpatient rehabilitation company. Implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and effectiveness, supervise dedicated dialysis staff, and serve as the program’s primary clinical and operational leader.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the inpatient hemodialysis program.
• Develop, implement, and monitor program policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate dialysis nursing and technical staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate dialysis care into the rehabilitation plan.
• Maintain quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage program budget, inventory, and equipment procurement.
• Serve as the primary liaison with nephrologists, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in hemodialysis or nephrology nursing.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in a dialysis setting.
• Strong knowledge of CMS Conditions for Coverage for ESRD facilities.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and dialysis-specific software.
