Dialysis Program Manager

About the role

Direct, organize, and advance the hemodialysis program at Encompass Health, the nation’s largest inpatient rehabilitation company. Implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and effectiveness, supervise dedicated dialysis staff, and serve as the program’s primary representative.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the hemodialysis program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
• Oversee daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Implement and monitor policies and procedures to maintain high-quality patient care and safety.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate dialysis staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate dialysis services into the broader rehabilitation program.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the dialysis program, representing it internally and externally.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or relevant clinical certification in nephrology/dialysis.
• Proven leadership experience in managing a dialysis program or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of hemodialysis procedures, equipment, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, state health departments).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous program improvement.
