Responsibilities

• Work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
• Gather patient vital signs before and after treatment.
• Initiate and monitor dialysis treatments.
• Terminate treatments and collect patient blood samples as directed by physicians.
• Ensure quality and safety by preparing and cleaning machines, conducting safety checks, and adhering to protocols and regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• Ability to safely mix and prepare chemical solutions following strict safety protocols.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Successful completion of U.S. Renal Care's training program, including demonstration of competency in hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available program within 18 months of hire and maintained in good standing.

Requirements

• Successfully complete U.S. Renal Care's training program approved by the Medical Director.
• Pass CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain Patient Care Technician certification within 18 months of hire.
