Dialysis Patient Care Technician - Part-Time

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients with renal failure, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
• Gather patient stats before and after treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments.
• Collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
• Prepare, clean, and disinfect hemodialysis machines.
• Conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment.
• Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
• Mix acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency in hemodialysis theory and practice within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state or national program within 18 months of hire and maintained thereafter; specific state requirements may apply.

Pay

USD $19.04 - USD $30.41 per hour.
