Dialysis Patient Care Technician - Full-time

What you'll be doing

  • Work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
  • Gather patient stats before and after treatment.
  • Initiate and terminate treatment.
  • Monitor patients during treatment.
  • Collect patient blood samples per physician orders.

Technician Duties

  • Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments.
  • Clean and disinfect machines after treatment.
  • Conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
  • Ensure all protocols and regulations are followed.

Safety and Quality

  • Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.

What we're looking for

  • A high school graduate or equivalent.
  • A desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
  • Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
  • Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

Other Requirements

  • Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
  • Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
