About the role
The Dialysis Nurse Educator (RN) supports and guides facility staff in providing top-notch patient care. They lead classroom training, oversee preceptor programs, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support and guidance from corporate clinical team
- Develop unit-specific policies and procedures
- Lead classroom theory training for patient care staff
- Verify new staff competencies before assigning tasks
- Oversee preceptor program and report progress
- Provide education on new and existing clinic policies
- Train patient care team to correct deficiencies identified during surveys
- Assign and monitor completion of new-hire and annual online education modules
- Administer annual competency testing and provide additional training
- Audit medical records, infection control, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain licensure and certification for all staff
- Coordinate or facilitate CPR certification classes
Qualifications
- Accredited nursing degree (BSN, AA, RN diploma)
- Two years’ dialysis experience, with six months’ experience as a charge nurse preferred
- Current NY Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/AED certification

Pay
$107,120 - $117,062 annually depending on experience
Schedule
Fulltime, eight-hour days Monday through Friday, shifts are 8am-4pm, with evenings and weekends off, although may be adjusted to align with clinic's operational hours.
