About the role
The Dialysis Nurse Educator (RN) at Dialysis Clinic, Inc. supports the nonprofit mission to provide personalized care for patients with chronic kidney disease. This role involves developing unit-specific policies and procedures, leading classroom training, and educating staff on new and existing clinic policies.
Responsibilities
- Support and guide facility staff through professional development and education
- Develop and implement unit-specific policies and procedures
- Lead classroom training sessions for patient care staff
- Verify new staff competencies before assigning independent tasks
- Oversee preceptor programs and report progress
- Provide education on new and existing clinic policies and procedures
- Train patient care teams to address deficiencies identified during surveys
- Assign and monitor completion of new-hire and annual online education modules
- Administer annual competency tests and provide additional training as needed
- Audit medical records, infection control, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain licensure and certification for all disciplines
- Coordinate or facilitate CPR certification classes
Qualifications
- Accredited nursing degree (BSN, AA, RN diploma)
- Two years' dialysis experience, with six months as a charge nurse preferred
- Current TN Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/AED certification

Pay and Schedule
- Pay range from $35-$40 per hour, depending on nursing and dialysis experience
- Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours/week @ three 8-hour days
