About the role

The RN Charge Nurse oversees nursing services each shift, acting as a supervisor and providing daily staff supervision. Assists with clinical and operational processes to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospitalizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages supplies and staff hours efficiently.
  • Reviews medication profiles, administers medications, and assists physicians during rounds.
  • Implements anemia management and medication protocols, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Performs safe dialysis and responds to emergencies.
  • Communicates patient assessments to the healthcare team and collaborates with physicians.
  • Participates in patient care planning, staff orientation, and policy updates.
  • Supports hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

  • An active RN license.
  • 12 months of nursing experience (including 3 months in dialysis).
  • CPR certification.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Skills
