About the role
The RN Charge Nurse oversees nursing services each shift, acting as a supervisor and providing daily staff supervision. Assists with clinical and operational processes to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospitalizations.
Responsibilities
- Manages supplies and staff hours efficiently.
- Reviews medication profiles, administers medications, and assists physicians during rounds.
- Implements anemia management and medication protocols, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Performs safe dialysis and responds to emergencies.
- Communicates patient assessments to the healthcare team and collaborates with physicians.
- Participates in patient care planning, staff orientation, and policy updates.
- Supports hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
- An active RN license.
- 12 months of nursing experience (including 3 months in dialysis).
- CPR certification.
- Computer proficiency.
- Leverage leadership skills.
