Dialysis Assistant St. Joseph's Incenter - 20 Hours/Week Day Shift

About the role

The Dialysis Assistant will contribute to efficient dialysis unit operations by performing stocking and custodial duties.

Responsibilities

• Properly clean patient equipment and tear down machines.
• Maintains storage of supplies and equipment.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control policies and procedures for dialysis setting, including OSHA regulations and MSDS information sheets.
• Treats patients and families with respect, dignity and compassion.
• Maintains neat, clean, and safe work area, which includes ancillary equipment.
• Responsible for helping minimize waste in assigned unit. Understands Lean principles.
• Prepares blood samples for shipment.

Requirements

Requires high school diploma or GED. Requires flexibility to work in a complex and changing environment.
