Dial Design Drafter 1st shift
Job Summary
Your activities include:
- Creates Dial Layouts using AutoCAD
- Updates AutoCAD layouts to current WIC standards
- Creates PostScript files for Inline Printing onto dials in the manufacturing plant
- Performs quality checks on the updated/created files and documents
- Processes ECNs distributed to Dial Design
- Retrieves and updates data from ERP system
- Updates layouts used on current WIC Inline Printing Stations
- Creates files as needed for inline printing using AutoCAD
- Troubleshoots problems that may arise while performing designated duties
- Supports attainment of department SQDC goals
- Makes sure assigned tasks and projects are completed by designated deadlines
- Performs ancillary duties as needed
Requirements
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a college degree preferred.
Excellent communication skills are critical. Must be proficient using a computer in the Windows environment.
Good mechanical skills required. AutoCAD experience is preferred, and manufacturing experience, especially in a “lean” environment, is preferred.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery is necessary.
Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.
