Diagnostician / Licensed Psychologist

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out autism spectrum assessment
• Analyze and interpret collected data
• Write evaluation reports
• Review results with families
• Design and implement parent support sessions
• Design and implement parent and sibling groups
• Consult with parents regarding the needs of their child
• Compile, maintain, and file all reports and other documents as required
• Select assessment materials and equipment
• Articulate the company's mission and goals in the area of assessment services to the community
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of professionals including BCBA, OT, and SLP

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD in Psychology
• Licensure with the state of MA and/or RI as a Psychologist
• Experience diagnosing ASD, preferably with postdoctoral experience
• Proficiency in ADOS-2, CARS, GARS-2
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Interest in conducting and disseminating research with at least one publication
• Able to lift and carry clients up to 30 pounds
• Able to restrain, hold, transport, and use quick body movements
• Able to sit, stand, kneel, squat, crawl, and walk for extended periods
• Able to perform specific computer and electronic device functions
• Able to read and comprehend written communication through various means
• Able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk

Basic & Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and carry clients who are least 30 pounds
• Able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements in the course of working with children with challenging behavior
• Able to assume and maintain a variety of postures including kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending, for extended periods of time
• Able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three-foot distance at all times
• Able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time
• Able to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection
• Able to maintain visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means
• Able to take written data and transfer to electronic files or data base systems
• Able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk

Pay

Pay is competitive and based on candidate qualifications and experience. 1099 role - $125-$150/hour.
