Diagnostic Sonographer (Ultrasound Technician)

Responsibilities

• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations independently within their registered specialty areas.
• Ensure sonographic data is accurate, complete, and of diagnostic quality to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Function with minimal supervision and serve as a resource for other staff.
• Act as the supervisor in their absence.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic Sonographer 1: Completion of an accredited sonography program, none required experience, previous customer service preferred, ARDMS certification within 18 months of hire.
• Diagnostic Sonographer 2: Completion of an accredited sonography program, six (6) months experience preferred, hospital experience preferred, ARDMS certification.
• Diagnostic Sonographer 3: Completion of an accredited sonography program, one (1) year Ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification, BLS, registered in adult echo or two non-cardiac specialties and competent in vascular.
• Diagnostic Sonographer 4: Completion of an accredited sonography program, three (3) year’s Ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification, BLS, registered in adult echo or two non-cardiac specialties and competent in vascular.

• Diagnostic Sonographer 2: $46.11 per hour
• Diagnostic Sonographer 3: $48.13 per hour
• Diagnostic Sonographer 4: $50.07 per hour
