Sonographer / Ultrasound Technician

About the role

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to support the VA St. Louis Health Care System in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures/services
• Receive patients and provide appropriate care, including scheduling and administrative tasks
• Observe and report to the Radiologist any symptoms affecting the patient’s condition and inform Radiologist of any necessary attention
• Adhere to ultrasound safety policies and procedures
• Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment according to Radiology Department standards
• Process digital images and prepare tech worksheets with technical impressions for radiologists’ interpretation

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited academic program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or current Sonography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Abdominal and/or Obstetrics/Gynecology
• BLS Certification

Qualifications

Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
