Diagnostic Radiology Clinical Lead

Responsibilities

• Establish daily work assignments for technologists.
• Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department equipment conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform annual equipment inspections and make corrections as dictated by HFAP.
• Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System (RICS).
• Provide portable X-ray service to all areas of the hospital.
• Reviews images to ensure good quality and, if necessary, works with technologists to improve image quality.
• Confirm patient identification prior to procedure by verbal confirmation on outpatients and identification band on in-patients.
• Cover apron/glove inspections as required by HFAP.
• Aid Radiology Supervisor in monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed, staying within the established expense budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an approved Radiography School.
• Experience: 5 plus years radiology experience to include completion of training in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Applicants must be ARRT registered or registry eligible; applicants who are registry eligible must be registered within three months of employment. Must be BLS certified.
