Role and Facility Information
The Department of Medical Imaging at Ridge Meadows Hospital is seeking radiologists to join their vibrant and growing community practice, to commensurate with a new MRI service and expansion of existing modalities. Maple Ridge is one of the fastest-growing communities in British Columbia, boasting beautiful natural surroundings with a variety of outdoor activities, a diverse population, and excellent access to downtown Vancouver. Ridge Meadows Hospital is part of the Fraser Health Authority, which consists of 157 acute care beds and receives over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually.
Daily Duties
- Radiography
- Fluoroscopy
- General Ultrasound
- Diagnostic Breast Imaging
- Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
- Computed Tomography
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- A variety of image-guided procedures
Equipment
- Two dedicated DR radiography units
- Toshiba fixed-fluoroscopy C-arm unit
- GE portable ultrasound unit
- Four GE fully equipped clinical ultrasound units
- New GE 64-slice CT scanner
- New, state-of-the-art 1.5T GE MRI unit
- GE AIR ReconTM Deep Learning image reconstruction software
Qualifications
Eligibility for licensure by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia is required. Fellowship in an area of interest, particularly MRI or neuroimaging, would be an asset.
