Diagnostic Radiologist - Locum Coverage

About the Role

Diagnostic Radiologist (MD) position on the night shift at an outpatient facility within a 314-bed short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level III Trauma Center. The role involves interpreting mixed-modality imaging studies and providing emergency department coverage without call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies across plain film, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine.
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 75 RVUs per shift, with workload variability.
• Provide emergency department coverage during night shifts.
• Ensure quality patient care through accurate image analysis.
• Work independently using various PACS systems and dictation methods.

Requirements

• Experience interpreting multiple imaging modalities.
• Ability to manage a variable caseload efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures and equipment.
• Adaptability to different PACS systems and dictation methods.

Work Environment

On-site at a 314-bed short-term acute care facility and Level III Trauma Center with diverse imaging capabilities and procedural support. Patient population is primarily adults.

Schedule

Night shift at an outpatient facility.
