Responsibilities
- Performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease under the direction of a Radiologist.
- Manages a daily workload of 10–12 scans per day, focusing on high-quality patient care in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred.
