Diagnostic Med Sonographer

About the Role

An opportunity to join our care team as a Sonographer in the Radiology-Ultrasound Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform sonographic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
• Conduct a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative using ultrasound for diagnosis.
• Complete exams of abdominal, pelvic, transvaginal, small parts, breast, OB <14 weeks, and OB >14 weeks.
• Assist in guidance of needle placement for breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, liver biopsy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and breast wire placement.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of an ultrasound program or similar training to meet qualifications for registration.
• RDMS credentials and up-to-date BLS certification.
