Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

About the role

Delivers nonprofessional services necessary to provide assistance for radiologic procedures. Responsible for transporting patients to and from the department in a safe, efficient, and timely manner, utilizing appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients via cart, wheelchair, taxi, or bed as needed.
• Assist with transfer of patients from stretchers to carts or wheelchairs.
• Assist with stocking supplies and replenishing Oxygen supply for the department.
• Communicate with technologists and other imaging staff regarding any delays or changes in patient condition.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent with GED.
• CPR Certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and 100 lbs. with shared lifting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays per schedule.
