Diabetes Educator RN

About the role

Support diabetic patients and their families through education and blood sugar surveillance in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations
• Provide diabetes education
• Participate in best practice committees
• Support team member training as a subject matter expert

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BSN preferred)
• Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience
• Acute care and diabetic patient experience highly desirable
• Registered nurse licensed in the appropriate state
• Ability to complete skills validation
• Support culturally diverse and age-specific needs
• Travel between facilities as needed
