About the role

The Diabetes Care and Education Specialist - RN serves as an expert clinical resource for clinical staff and healthcare providers in the inpatient and outpatient settings, including support groups. They plan and coordinate care and education for patients with diabetes across a continuum, collaborating with other disciplines, community agencies, and organizations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required) or Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
  • Two or more years of experience working with diabetic patients.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse license or Registered Dietitian certification.

Skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge of diabetes management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
