Diabetes Care Advisor - Concierge/Non-Clinical - Onsite/Hybrid
About the Role
GEMCORE, recognized by Inc. Magazine and the Cleveland Plain Dealer for its growth and workplace culture, is seeking a Diabetes Care Advisor to join the Edwards Health Care Services (EHCS) team. This hybrid remote position, based in Morehead City, NC, offers a full-time schedule with employer-paid vacation, benefits, and opportunities for commission and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients, coordinating insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) orders with healthcare professionals, insurance providers, and physician offices.
- Cultivate new leads through prospecting physicians, diabetes educators, hospitals, clinics, manufacturer representatives, and community partners.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, physicians, and educators throughout the order process.
- Formulate new relationships with manufacturers, vendors, payers, doctors, and patients to support business development.
- Process daily, weekly, and monthly status reports for manufacturer and management review.
- Obtain prior authorizations, pre-certifications, and Certificates of Medical Necessity to ensure shipment and billing compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a consumer service organization or healthcare environment.
- Insurance background and/or medical experience, with knowledge of deductibles and co-payments, is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent telephone and communication skills, with a focus on patient, insurance, and physician interactions.
- Outgoing personality and strong attention to detail.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:15am - 5:00pm.
