DI Tech Aide - Diagnostic Imaging - SUPPLEMENTAL VARYING SHIFTS

This position requires basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to assist the Diagnostic Imaging technologist. It also prefers similar knowledge for the Radiologic technologist role.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology (within 6 months)
• Knowledge of anatomy
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workload
• Transportation of patients (up to 500 lbs)
• Full range of body motion
• Stress tolerance
• Reliable transportation

Typical Physical/Mental Demands

• Moves heavy workloads (up to 300 lbs)
• Assists with moving patients (up to 500 lbs)
• Bend, twist, lift, push, and pull
• Walk for up to 10 hours a day
• Handle stressful situations

Essential Job Functions

• Perform administrative tasks (data entry, copying, faxing, filing)
• Transport patients to and from diagnostic and treatment areas

• Aid department personnel as needed
