DHMS Software Developer III

About the role

This role is ideal for a developer with experience in full-stack development and data engineering working in an Agile development environment. The position involves designing, developing, and optimizing web and database solutions, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks that support mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications based on specifications provided by software developers or stakeholders.
• Create, modify, and test code, forms, and scripts to support application functionality.
• Conduct testing and trial runs to validate the accuracy and performance of applications.
• Maintain, update, and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and adapt to new requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Document data lineage, processes, and technical specifications to ensure transparency and compliance.
• Develop advanced T-SQL queries, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Develop and support reporting solutions using SSRS, including dataset design.
• Develop solutions for data storage, retrieval, and system integration.
• Partner with technical and business teams to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Education: A BS/BA degree is required.
• Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience is required.
• Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
• Technical Skills: Experience supporting and developing custom web-based applications. 7+ years of experience with Angular. 7+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio.
• Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server. 5+ years of experience using Bootstrap UI, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery for website design. Experience in Cloud development. Experience with Microsoft DevOps for workload planning and management. Technical troubleshooting, code debugging, and problem-solving skills for custom-built applications and databases. Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with others. Organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects or assignments simultaneously. Leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under general supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
