About the role
Vernovis is looking for a Senior Software Developer III who will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting a broad portfolio of business applications.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, define, develop, test, document and implement new computer applications or changes to existing applications following our clients’ standards.
- Installs software packages and/or personal computer software.
- Assure that hardware and software operate efficiently.
- Utilize programming tools effectively to ensure accuracy and enhance productivity.
- Assemble and analyze data relating to processing problems, soliciting help as needed from IT and business unit associates.
- Consult and/or advise business unit associates by written and/or oral communication on inquiries concerning existing or proposed systems.
- Participate and contribute in committee meetings on developmental projects, large-scale improvement projects and internal IT technical committees.
- Provide training to other programming staff or business unit associates on technical topics or systems definition.
- Handle several assignments with varying deadlines simultaneously.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development experience with C#, .NET 8, Visual Studio, and modern web application frameworks.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ, SQL Server, and/or Oracle databases.
- Ability to develop and consume REST APIs and support service-based architecture/design patterns.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices, ideally including TFS.
- Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and attention to detail when working with business partners and vendors.
- Proven programming experience (e.g., research, design, gathering requirements, working with business units, developing programs, testing, documentation, production support).
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including experience identifying, defining and quantifying problems; collecting or interpreting data, establishing facts, and providing effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to document procedures and activities in a manner that is understandable to others and prepared using a prescribed format, demonstrating use of the English language to include exemplary knowledge, in verbal and written format, of the elements of grammar, punctuation, diction and spelling proficiency.
- Ability to work on several deadlines with moderate supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Or commensurate selection criteria experience.
Skills
- Proficiency in specific programming languages required by the individual business unit.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
