About the Role

As a DEXA Technologist, you will perform high-quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services while aligning patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services (limited to chest, extremities, skull, and torso-skeletal) on patients, within the legal scope of licensure.
- Monitor patient well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
- Evaluate radiographs and/or DEXA scans for technical quality.
- Respond to physician questions regarding exams.
- Understand and use equipment settings (scales, field of view, gain, voltage, amps, etc.) to produce high-quality images and DEXA scans.
- Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
- Exhibit professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, maintaining respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
- State license and/or ARRT certification may be required depending on state regulations.
- Experience working in a high-volume setting.
- High school diploma or GED.
- BLS certification.

- High level of competency in safeguarding patient property and PHI.

Pay
$24.00 per hour.
