About the Role

Join a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in 21st-century healthcare. As a DEXA Technologist, you will perform high-quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services while aligning patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services (limited to chest, extremities, skull, and torso-skeletal) on patients, within the legal scope of licensure.
  • Monitor patient well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Evaluate radiographs and/or DEXA scans for technical quality.
  • Respond to physician questions regarding exams.
  • Understand and use equipment settings (scales, field of view, gain, voltage, amps, etc.) to produce high-quality images and DEXA scans.
  • Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
  • Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
  • Exhibit professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, maintaining respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • State license and/or ARRT certification may be required depending on state regulations.
  • Experience working in a high-volume setting.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about patient care and exercises sound judgment in all situations.
  • Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Structured work approach with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of competency in safeguarding patient property and PHI.

Pay

$24.00 per hour.
