About the role
The Dewatering Sales Product Specialist will lead the revenue for Rain for Rent’s Dewatering products and services in a designated region. They will work with stakeholders to understand market trends, develop new growth strategies, and manage major projects.
Responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales targets within the region.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships; project management of major projects.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement dewatering applications to meet customer needs.
- Create successful sales and marketing approaches to address customer needs.
- Proactively find, bid, and win new market opportunities in dewatering and water treatment markets.
- Understand filtration principles and job-related regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales teams to generate sales reports, proposals, and quotes.
- Regularly consult with various internal departments and personnel to design scopes, solutions, and job specifics for contracts.
- Make professional presentations, negotiate deals, and obtain signed contracts for dewatering projects.
- Work with RVPs, RSMs, Branch Managers, and the sales team throughout the sales process of any dewatering project.
- Perform tasks such as ride-alongs with sales reps, job walks with customers, and other tasks associated with dewatering projects.
- Achieve assigned sales quota, revenue, and gross margin objectives.
- Accurately and promptly enter all sales activities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Increase market share among end-user customers in the assigned territory.
- Adhere to Rain for Rent’s Safety culture and demonstrate adherence to all safety policies and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in mechanical, civil engineering, hydrology, construction management, or related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Sales Experience in dewatering.
- Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience (highly preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and negotiating skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects across different market sectors and geographic regions simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Skills
- Understanding of filtration principles, including particle removal, filter media selection, and system design.
- Strong understanding of job-related regulatory guidelines in the assigned territory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay
$90,000 - $115,000 annually, DOE + annual incentive bonus opportunity.

This role requires onsite presence at a RfR office and/or branch location. Except for limited circumstances, remote and/or hybrid options are not offered at this time.
