The Role

The Marketing Research Lead at JerseySTEM is a strategic thinker and data-driven professional responsible for enhancing outreach to corporations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the corporate landscape to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Uses data-driven methods to understand corporate behavior, philanthropic interests, and engagement preferences.
  • Develop and implement surveys to gather insights from corporations and other stakeholders.
  • Gathers information through various research methods, including interviews, focus groups, and secondary research.
  • Interprets data to draw meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Works closely with the marketing team to translate research findings into effective marketing strategies.
  • Ensures alignment between research insights and marketing initiatives.
  • Presents research findings to internal stakeholders, including executives and team members, in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Creates visual and written reports to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap.
  • Proven experience in marketing research, preferably in a nonprofit or corporate partnership environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Resourceful, can-do attitude.
  • Experience leading a function (i.e. team, department manager, etc) and managing others.
  • Comfort working in a 'virtual organization' with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce).
