DevSecOps Engineer - U.S. Citizenship Required
About the role
The position involves leading a team to support and modernize multiple cloud-based systems for a client, deploying to AWS. The role requires a senior DevSecOps engineer to quickly learn new technologies and gain a strong understanding of the client ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Build CI/CD pipelines for microservices, applications, and supporting components.
- Develop standard CI/CD approaches across supported teams and the application portfolio.
- Optimize system availability while minimizing AWS costs and supporting all required teams.
- Manage security requirements, including patching, to maintain existing security authorizations.
- Analyze system logs to perform root-cause analysis of performance or infrastructure issues.
- Participate in design meetings with other projects and the client’s technical specialists.
- Collaborate with agile teams to design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutions.
- Coordinate integration testing across multiple (more than three) teams.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- To be successful, US citizenship is required along with a successful background check and DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- 10+ years of development experience in Information Technology, focused on DevSecOps, DevOps, and AWS.
- Expert skills in GitHub and Linux administration.
- Experience with Terraform, AWS, and Splunk.
- Experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Ansible, or Harness.io.
- Experience delivering within Agile development teams and strong familiarity with Scrum and/or Kanban.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for Java-based microservices using Maven or Gradle.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for web applications using Node.js, Angular, or React.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and security, commercial and open-source ICAM products, cybersecurity administration, and security compliance.
- Experience with New Relic or Grafana.
- AWS certification.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 - $245,500.00.
Schedule
The position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
