DevSecOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Leverage OpenShift and Kubernetes to configure, monitor, and maintain this private cloud environment
• Create and maintain automated, repeatable environment creation and configuration (Infrastructure as Code) scripts using ansible, chef, or similar tools
• Create and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines using leading open-source offerings, including ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.io
• Monitor, Predict, Update, and Resolve issues at all levels, from bare-metal operating systems to deployed applications
• Oversee and manage compliance to ATO accreditation needs with tuning, patching or documentation.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly).
• Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role (additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree).
• Demonstrated technical experience with DevSecOps and strong Linux experience.
• Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
• Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with: Hardware and software sustainment with IC and DoD networks, Distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services, Developing and deploying web services, Working with open-source resources in a government computing environment, Maintaining backend GIS technologies, ICD 503, Big data technologies such as ElasticSearch, Accumulo, Spark, Hive, or Hadoop, Familiarity with: Hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, RedHat, AWS, C2S, and OpenShift, Concepts such as Data visualization; Data management, Data integration, User Interfaces, Databases, CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
• Experience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some TCPED systems is a plus!
