DevSecOps Engineer

Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of 3 DevSecOps Engineers for initial 12 month contract opportunities.

Candidates should be located in either Gaithersburg, MD or Egg Harbor Town, NJ. This will be a hybrid role with 3 days on site and 2 days remote.

The DevSecOps Engineers will be supporting a major modernization project for an enterprise US Department of Transportation initiative.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that integrate security scanning, automated testing and compliance checks
• Implement and manage container and orchestration platforms
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code
• Troubleshoot build, deployment and pipeline failures

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of overall experience with a bachelor's degree
• CI/CD pipeline build and implementation experience using GitLab (CI or Actions) and Jenkins
• Experience deploying EKS applications using Terragrunt and/or Terraform, specifically in an AWS environment; Ansible experience would suffice
• Python, Bash and/or Go scripting experience
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Prior experience supporting enterprise Federal projects/programs; customer would also accept experience within the Utility, Energy, Healthcare or other highly regulated environments

Preferred or Nice to Have Skills

• AWS DevOps Engineering Cert, CKA, DevSecOps specific certifications

Pay

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $47 – 68/hr. The posted range is an estimate. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
